3rd time might actually be the charm

I realized something yesterday. Happiness is a long road. One that includes a lot of turns and pauses needed to find our correct location. Yesterday marked my Aunt Vera’s 3rd marriage and for the first time in a long time I saw my aunt truly happy. There she stood in front of friends and family marrying a man she truly loved, her daughter giving her to him to share. For as long as I can remember my aunt Vera has been searching for the perfect love in the process she found 2 men who couldn't really love her the way he needed to and a daughter who would love her for an eternity.
This new man in my aunts life loves her for who she is and as any good match should he loves her not to correct her but to stand beside her as she grows each day.
While at the wedding I also watched my great uncle Harry sit beside his new girlfriend a woman he cares for deeply as was evident from the look of happiness in his eyes which is way we all understood, that at the age of 66 only a few years after losing his wife to a disease that took her memories before her life, he has allowed himself to find love again. It would seem that although his love is one of companionship rather then passion for the two of them have lost there first soulmate it is also a love friendship and perhaps those are the best types for they stay in our lives long after loves of passion leave us.
More then anything else i learned that happiness comes into your life when it comes and who are we to judge or place timelines on when and how a person is allowed to find love. As for me i'm content knowing that for today i have the love of family and friends in my life and that someday i hope i'll find a love that last within us both long after passion has ended.
