4 years and alot of chocolate

There is a funny thing that happens during the grieving process you wake up one morning and realize that 4 years have gone by and the girl you were has been replaced by the woman you became.
And tho there will always be aspects of that girl be they her hopes, dreams, goals and love for green m&ms she has silenced her quirky voice all in your journey to become an adult.

Adulthood  with those things call responsibilities and a career with a career path that took you away from so many of her goals. She let you work hard to find different passions different tasks that filled your time and fell silent while you tried to decide who she would and could become.

She stumbled lost footing from time to time she pushed herself to do great things and to let others in. She lost friends, lost family, to time and death and simply growing apart as she changed into an adult. But she gained strengths she never realized lived within her and somehow while on that journey to today she found love.

Love in a man who allowed her to grow to have moments of weakness and days of strength a man who helped her achieve goals she had placed high on a pedestal of things that would make her father proud. And today he did the one thing she didn't even realize she needed the most. He asked her to find her voice to keep chasing her dreams.

Its a hard thing to do when with out even trying to do so she had put aside those hopes and dreams. But she had been so busy trying to figure out how to keep the world spinning after losing her dad and losing her focus for so long.

Sometimes in life we get so busy trying to keep moving forward that we allow our dreams and our passions to fall to the side with the somedays and one days that litter the land of regret.

But with one sentence a wall she'd forgotten had been put up between dreams and reality had been torn down.

"Just write baby" he had said  "If its your dream just do it even if no one else ever reads a word. "

I can't promise that my dreams of writing a best seller or being a travel writer will ever come to fruition but i can promise i haven't given them up for good. They were just on hold while i found the next chapter in my life story.

But no worries dear readers this book called my life in theory is far from over.

On to the next chapter and another bag of m&ms.

Your tardy hero
