43 day

It's been one of those weeks where today tomorrow and yesterday all seem like the same day. Wednesday consisted of a dentist appointment for my bi-yearly checkup now considering i go to the dentist monthly one would think they'd bother to pock around a bit once in a while but alas no such luck.
At any rate the official dentist report was i had only one cavity and surprise suprise i need oral surgery to remove all four of my wisdom teeth which are apparently coming in sideways. go figure only my life would be coming to me at an angle. I'll be going under the knife on the 9Th of march yay me. and i get to take a whole week off work to recover. here's hoping i recover in 3 days and spend the other 4 going to the beach. doubtful but still.....
As for the nine to five well work is doing that thing where it hits a nice routine i can live with, if i stay quiet and keep my nose clean maybe just maybe I'll get the fuck out of there before my soul is eaten by corporate America. but again here's hoping.
In the music world i have two new favorite songs from my favorite bands nine inch nails - my violent heart the song takes me back to a time when nin was heavy real and in your face rock and roll. Music that made you wake up.
the other are my boys from Australia Silverchair- the Straight line Have you ever listened to a band and thought, this is why i fell in love with there music this is why I'll do anything to see them live to have there new CD this is why i visit the website this is why. Well the boys are doing it again creating music that is made with no more or less then the desire to make good music and none of the pressure that a label places on a band to make the next big thing. instead the boys funded the whole album out of pocket and while this means that the boys are still looking for a us label to release the CD it also means the album is silverchair at it's purest.
in other news silverchair's new Album young modern will be released in Australia in a little less then 43 days and i for one am counting down the minutes to this amazing new arrival.
I've be seeing my Australian boy toys on February 20Th at the El Ray. the first LA Show to cell out in just under a half hour. Why people don't realize just how amazing silverchair is will always confuse me.
But what they don't know only means i get to enjoy them myself for a little while longer.

Last day of a journey

Today dear readers marks the last day of my la training. Ill be taking my series 66 tomorrow then assuming a passing grade I head back to the brabch and start the online course my job requires to be a real live stock broker and after all those lovely steps ill be ready. ready for what? I've no idea anymore but right now it just feels good to be so close to finishing one quest in my life and to be starting another. I think if this time in la has taught me anything its that I can do more then I think and that hard work and studying all day is a painful process. What I'm yet to know is if it is worth it... Sadly I don't know what tomorrows results will be a passing score seems posibly and hopefully I will be all done with this madness soon. a night in the dark

So the power company decided to turn my small town off last night from 10pm to 5:30am a full 7 hours of darkness. The time in the dark made this insomniac wonder what people did before TV , radio, computers, and the Internet . Was reading by candlelight all that appealing? Or was this why birthrates were so much higher before electricity Somehow I doubt it the former... In other news my weekend was yep you guessed it uneventful. A couple hours at work on Saturday fallowed by sushi with my family then an evening of dinner drinking and darts in the OC and for a little bonus getting pulled over at midnight after leaving the bar without getting a ticket. Sunday was breakfast at Fullerton and sleeping for the rest of my lazy Sunday one day I'll have a productive weekend but for now... Into Each Life a little Rain must Fall

I used to think my life was pretty entertaining. How can you not think that way I mean were each born and given one life one total and then life happens. we meet these people and they call themselves our parents and they love us unconditionally if were really lucky we hear how much they love us and how important living our one life is. And then one day after all these years of having these amazing people who love you around you every day of your life..... Well you wake up on May 4th with a dad who is a mountain of a man full of kindness and opinion and goodness and he tells you he loves you and you know you are loved and protected and that much a better person because your his child. and then he takes a breath and he's gone.
