My Life In Theory

Most girls want to hear a guy tell her he loves her that she matters that she is his world that without her his life is meaningless. Sometimes I think girls go hunting for love as strongly as they do because they didn't have the luxury of an anchor, someone who reminds them of there value to the world with no alterior motives. I was rather lucky that I never had to question my value my importance in the world I was fed an abundance of confidence in my first 28 years of life to knew early on I had value. My problem in the game of love was and is that while I know I'm worthy of great love of feeling like the most important person in a person's life I have no clue how to earn that right from a stranger. And for that reason after I lost my dad and in losing him lost most of the solid footing over my confidence and ability to trust my decisison because the person I fell back upon if I failed was gone causes me to sometimes hesitate more then I ever have before in this game we ...

I used to think my life was pretty entertaining. How can you not think that way I mean were each born and given one life one total and then life happens. we meet these people and they call themselves our parents and they love us unconditionally if were really lucky we hear how much they love us and how important living our one life is. And then one day after all these years of having these amazing people who love you around you every day of your life..... Well you wake up on May 4th with a dad who is a mountain of a man full of kindness and opinion and goodness and he tells you he loves you and you know you are loved and protected and that much a better person because your his child. and then he takes a breath and he's gone. Least for me, I lost my dad in May so forgive for the long window of no updates but lets just say my mind wasn't really on my blog. I've spent the last few months trying to make sense of all this of my life and my dad of my new life without him a...

Whenever I feel like life is trying to overwhelming me I find baking to be the best distraction because I may not be able to control the world but I can control my stove. maybe its a crazy method but it works for me.

Can I please get thrown a freaking bone here in the love department. I'm not an ugly girl, hell I have big boobs, and i like sports. I don't have a mile long list of ex's or 6 kids from 5 dads. I've never been on reality TV, and i have no desire to have a sugar daddy. I'm not asking for a ton, just a geeky cute guy who loves hockey and beer w/o any weird issues i.e. momma or baby momma. Someone smart funny who knows what it means to be a man without being a jackass. Someone who can laugh at the stupidity of life without being malicious about it. Someone who can look at you and see not perfection but what is perfect for them. I don't want prince charming he usually ends up looking for his own prince but I'm just so sick of the wrong guy finding me and the right one completely missing me.  So if you exist Mr. Wonderful do a girl a favor and give her some hope because the tools and fools of society are really starting to weigh her down.

Twas the night before Comic Con and all through the house a geek girl was giddy and not about a mouse. The car had been gassed up and waiting for its fare, in hopes it would speed up the arrival there. The passes were printed and itinerary reviewed all that remained was waiting for the stupid sun to move. But as minutes felt like  hours she waited in anticipation for 6am to arrive to head out to her favorite destination. But like most yearly traditions that take so long to arrive this evening was dragging at least in her eyes. So instead of sleeping or doing something productive she decided to blog about her insomnia induced nuttiness. With that being complete one thing remains to be said Happy Comic Con to all now time for me to try and get to bed.

Like most woman between the ages of 18 to 35, I have always had one issue or another with my body. Be honest, we all wish we were a bit thinner or our breasts were a bit bigger or our butt a bit more like j-lo and less like a no. But for me I had always simply accepted my body as what it was, mine. I was okay being the funny fat friend, I had given my self the roll and the rolls on my stomach were my props to insure my spot in the lime light. but when my extra weight went from a part of me to something that could kill me I realized it was time to take a good long look in the mirror and make a choice. So I faced the music or rather the camera, as an object that simply can't lie to me and was forced to face the reality of my life and what my choices, my family history and what body was doing to me. So after a long talk with my doctor, my family and myself I made a decision and it is one I have yet to regret. I decided to have a Gastric Band placed. Gastric Band surgery like most...

My definition of the end of summer is when my work clothing go from shirts and pants to suit and sadly today's cold weather marked that day... I'm living each day like I'm promised tomorrow, and yet I know I'm not so i hope, hope that somehow life will just change for me. I know that I'm stuck in a rut but what can you do sometimes life just gets you stuck and the idea of change is just mortifying. So you play your part, live your life and wonder what tomorrow will provide for you. I used to dream about a future that would make others take notice lately tho i think I'd rather just have a life that makes me happy.... but for not I'll take what I've got working, great big crazy family, surrounded by amazing friends, a chance for my LA Kings to Make the playoffs. what more can a girl really ask for. Have you ever just sat and watched a storm as it takes place around you. Most people I think find a winter storm inconvenient but for me its all about the feeling of the universe wanting a fresh start. Afterall life seems easier after a good cry. So it stands to reason that a good rain storm offers the same cleansing to the universe. Good night Your lost hero

Remember when we were little and we'd make lists for Santa of all the things we wished for. Silly things like toys, books, candy, cloths, season tickets to the LA Kings.... okay maybe that was just me. These days with people pushing and pulling for useless junk on expensive shelves it seems that as we got older we came to look forward to the list more and more and the idea behind the holidays less and less. It is as if we never realized that those lists were just an excuse to be greedy for a few short days a year. I guess it must be the 6 year old that lives in each of us, the one who sees holiday lights and smells pine in the air and just has to get a bit out of control, and somehow we forget what really matters. For me it is was and will always be all the memories I've made over the year its sad i can't remember what i got for Christmas last year but i can tell you who showed up on my front doorstep at 10pm on Christmas eve to help clean up after the holiday madness ...

Remember when you worked to make money for your life..... How did it turn into your life revolving around your work? You know that feeling where one day becomes one week, becomes one month, becomes one year, becomes one life in a really dull rut you can’t get out of no matter how hard you try to break the surface of mountain building on top of you. It just seems like my last few weeks has blurred so much that I don't know what day it is any more. It’s all become the same get up get dressed go to work go home go to sleep lather rinse repeat. I miss having a job that pays for my social life, rather a career that took over my life.... Virg

just another crazy month starting and a life driving me batty

I have very distant memories of summer. It was a time when I could flee the hum drum pain of Monday to Friday dullness that was school. The time was spent at the beach, the mall, or simply watching tv and going out and about with friends but somehow in the time since graduating from university and starting in the real world I've lost not only my thrive to learn but also my 3 month vacation in favor of working full time and savings my paid time off for days i simply don't want to go into the office. it's a sad moment when a woman realizes her summer wardrobe can only be worn on weekends. Is it just me or shouldn't corporate America offer a 3 month vacation in which workers can choose to flee there stuffy offices and dress close in favor of flip flops and tank tops? I for one would be far more productive in September if i had even a 30 day vacation from corporate life. But I could be the exception.
